Magnetic field shielding of network frequency

This thesis is a study on the shielding of electromagnetic fields which is one of the subjects ofelectromagnetic compatibility.The study elaborates on the main sources of electromagnetic field, sources of electromagneticinterference and on the influences of electromagnetic fields. It further dwells on the solutiontechniques for electromagnetic shielding, and on related discussions. Magnetic fieldmeasurements were made with various configuraitons in a high current laboratory onmaterials on the shielding of electromagnetic fields were evaluated.As a result of the work, shielding factor of different materials were determined withmeasurements. Further studies in this subject could compare these measurement results withthe results of calculations to be made with the methods shown in this study. Programs couldbe developed which could determine, according to the magnitute of the magnetic field, thetype and amount of the material to be used.
