Özet (EN)
In recent times, energy demand is more and more increasing due to increasing population and developing technology. Because of this fact, human being leads to use renewable energy sources since the costs and environmental effects of fossil fuels is high. With using renewable energy sources in conventional power systems hybrid energy systems arises and has gained an important role. Hybrid energy systems are both working stand-alone and grid-connected. In spite of major advantages of renewable energy sources, since hybrid energy systems have no continuity, they don?t supply to consumers at full-load in some cases. In this study, cost and risk assessment of wind and solar energy systems is performed for a stand-alone wind turbine + solar panels + diesel generator hybrid energy system. In the applied system, different cases (hybrid combinations of diesel + wind + solar generation) to feed a load of 250 kW are investigated and performed risk assessment for contingent fault conditions. Consequently, unenergized load amount, unenergized annual total hour, total hour diesel generator fuel cost for each case and economical magnitudes for optimum case are obtained.
