The effects of the Cyprus problem on Turkey's domestic policy in the light of selected examples

Cyprus, which is the most important island in the Mediterranean, has never been lacking in its efforts to ensure sovereignty over the island, primarily of strategic importance and from the past to the present. As Cyprus is the main topic of the study, as a result of the policies Turkey has made accordingly, it was initially reviewed within a conceptual framework of what domestic and foreign policy is, as it is an assessment of its reflections on domestic politics. The study, which I discussed from a historical point of view, was the importance of the island. On the other hand, the activities of the Greek Cypriot people living on the island for Enosis purposes were included. After the establishment of the Republic of Cyprus, Greek Cypriot executives intensified their genocide against the Turks, especially the Turks living on the island, and what answers they have to the island, and what Turkey's approach and attitude are to this situation, were conducted in depth. Cyprus is very important for Turkey and, accordingly, it has been examined what policies Turkey has been monitoring and how the policies it has implemented are reflected back. The study included indicators of how much Turkey values the security of Turkish people living in Cyprus and Cyprus, and addresses Turkey's policies in foreign politics to ensure this security. In addition, Turkey's Peace Operation in Cyprus and its effects on Turkey's domestic and foreign policy have been addressed. On the other hand, relations between KKTC and Turkey were discussed and the politics they followed together in foreign policy were investigated and transferred. In short, Turkey's policies on Cyprus have been assessed and, as a result, the determination and investigation of the reflection of the Cyprus issue in Turkey's domestic politics in the context of international relations is aimed at transferring the outcome.
