Abstract (EN)
In choice theory, people are approached with the assumption that they are responsible for their choices, in other words, their behavior, and therefore the person can only control his own behavior, not the behavior of others. Choice theory emphasizes that all long-term psychological problems are essentially relationship problems, and that healthy relationships are the basis of a satisfying life. The aim of the research is to develop a Likert-type scale for how adolescents perceive constructive and destructive habits in their relationships with both their mothers and fathers, within the framework of reality therapy. Within the scope of the research, the literature was examined, an item pool was formed, expert opinion was taken, a pilot application was carried out, and mother and father application forms were formed with a total of 59 items, 30 of which were constructive and 29 items were destructive habits. The study group of the research consists of 691 high school students between the ages of 14-18. The forms were applied to 346 high school students to conduct exploratory factor analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the Perceived Mother-Constructive Habits Scale consists of four sub-dimensions: respecting, encouraging, closeness and accepting, the reliabilities of these sub-dimensions are .93, .86, .92 and .93 respectively, the total reliability of the scale is .97, and it has 25 items.of them and it was determined that 71.16% of the variance was explained. The Perceived Father Constructive Habits Scale consists of four sub-dimensions: closeness, respecting, accepting and encouraging, the reliabilities of these sub-dimensions are .95, .94, .92 and .93 respectively, the total reliability of the scale is .97, it has 29 items of them and it was determined that 73.46% of the variance was explained. The Perceived Mother Destructive Habits Scale consists of four sub-dimensions: blaming, punishing, complaining and criticizing, the reliabilities of these sub-dimensions are .85, .84, .82 and .85 respectively, the total reliability of the scale is .93, it has 22 items of them it was determined that 62.22% of the variance was explained. The Perceived Father Destructive Habits Scale consists of four sub-dimensions: grumbling (nagging), punishing, criticizing and blaming, the reliabilities of these sub-dimensions are .87, .88, .77 and .83 respectively, the total reliability of the scale is .92, it has 21 items of them and it was determined that 63.62% of the variance was explained. To verify the subdimensional structure, the forms were applied to 345 high school students to conduct confirmatory factor analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the CMIN/df, AGFI, GFI, NFI, CFI, IFI, TLI and RMSEA values were in good agreement with the perceived constructive habits mother and father scales and the perceived destructive habits mother and father scales. Key Words: Adolescent-mother relationship, Adolescent-father relationship, Reality therapy, Scale development, Choice theory, Caring habits, Deadly habits
