Analysis of the results of general elections of Malatya(1991-2018) within the context of voter behavior approach models

Elections, which are indispensable elements of democracies, are effective in determining governance as a result, while at the same time, it is also important to understand the political, social and economic conditions in which countries and societies are located. The influence of a social being on the conditions in which it is present and the reflection of its movement on the political sphere is the most obvious and legitimate way through political elections. Political culture and political socialization processes have an important place in the formation of the political behaviors that constitute the whole of the feelings, thoughts, opinions and activities exhibited by individuals in the political sphere. In this sense, the different behaviors of individuals or societies in the face of similar developments are closely related to the political culture and political socialization they have acquired in the process and they are effective in the development of the sensitivity of the voters to the political arena and in the formation of political behavior. Many factors influence the political behavior of the voters, and they are consciously or unconsciously affected by these factors. In addition, the effects of these factors vary depending on the political, social and economic developments experienced. In this study, factors affecting the political behavior of voters in the context of approach models and developments in the general election before and after the general election period were discussed, the results of the general elections were evaluated and the cases affecting the shaping of the political preferences of Malatya voters were analyzed.
