Abstract (EN)

This study is prepared as a masters of science thesis, which explains the analysis of different effects of snow forces on different kinds of multi-span shed roofs under the same ground snow load circumstances. Analysis are carried out in two ways. Firstly the slope degrees of roofs are chosen as 15o and 31o so that these values may represent the two different slope factors in Eurocode EN 1-3 General actions-Snow loads standard. The span length of the roof is 16 metres and it is supported at 5 different points. The changes on the slopes of roofs are made by changing the height of maximum points so that the effect of the slope can be understood better. The minimum necessities of loads due to the explained standards are effected. In the second study a steel industry building with a rectangular geometry of 20x30m is analysed under the affects of dead and snow loads. Earthquake loads and quantities are evaluated and compared. As a result of that study, it is understood that, the structural design engineer should use every national or international useful information, standard, research etc. especially about the loads while designing the project.
