Systematic and ecologically investigation of super family raphignathoidea (Acari: Actinedida) in Seferihisar county (İzmir)

In this study, raphignatoid mites (Acari: Actinedida) of Seferihisar, the county of Izmir, were systematic and ecologically researched. From July 2010 to June 2011, once a month various samples such as soil, litter, bark, moss were taken from the sampling area. To examine some physico-chemical parameters of soil, extra soil samples were taken also. Samples were brought to the laboratory with their labels in nylon bags. They were placed on modified Berlese funnels. Raphignatoid mites were extracted from other soil fauna members under stereomicroscope. For preparation they were mounted on slides in Hoyer?s medium.13 species of 4 families were obtained during the study. They are; Storchia robustus, Storchia ardabiliensis, Stigmaeus elongatus, Stigmaeus karabagiensis, Ledermuelleriopsis plumosa, Eustigmaeus segnis from Stigmaeidae; Neophyllobius lachishensis and Tycherobius stramenticola from Camerobiidae; Caligonella humilis from Caligonellidae; Raphignathus gracilis, Raphignathus ueckermanni, Raphignathus kuznetzovi and Raphignathus protaspus from Raphignathidae. Male indiviuals of Storchia ardabiliensis and Stigmaeus elongatus are the first records.Also, seasonal distributions of the families and the species and relationships between some ecological parameters were evaluated. Stigmaeidae was the most abundant (%70) family in the sampling area. Following families were Raphignathidae (%18), Caligonellidae (%10) and Camerobiidae (%2) respectively. Mites reached the highiest density in spring time. Winter, autumn and summer followed it respectively.
