Abstract (EN)
The brand clarifies the organizations. Being a brand can offer institutions and organizations the opportunity to obtain a high level of value. The ability of a city to become a brand can lead to the positioning of all the data of the city in the minds of the masses in terms of economy, politics and culture. In parallel with the effects of globalization and innovation, cities can compete with each other. Cities can easily promote their resources with the contribution of innovation by making their resources more prominent than other services. A city can attract the attention of visitors with its innovation practices and this can lead to rapid branding of the city. This research aims to determine the contributions of innovation in Sakarya's branding process. In the research, the definitions of brand, branding and innovation were discussed, then the branding power of Sakarya was examined and recommendations were mentioned in the branding process for Sakarya in the context of city innovation. In this study, data were obtained by face-to-face survey method with 384 individuals. Sakarya's brand image was tried to be determined in line with innovation. The data were analyzed in the SPSS and it was measured that Sakarya reflects a positive image. It has been concluded that Sakarya reflects both a calm, clean, livable and modern appearance with a positive image. It has been analyzed that Sakarya people are tolerant, enterprising, helpful and hardworking. It has been determined that there are not enough practices and information about innovation.
