The effects of different nitrogen doses on yield and quality of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) in Konya conditions after sugar beet

This research was carried out to determine the effects of different nitrogen doses on the yield quality of Hüseyinbey bread wheat cultivar grown after sugar beet in Konya-Ilgın conditions in 2022. The experiment was arranged according to a randomized block design with three replications, and different nitrogen doses (0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 kg/da) were used. As a result of the research, plant height 66,3- 115,3 cm, the number of tillering 4,17-10,00 pieces, thousand grain weight 35,07-39,60 g, protein ratio 11,77-12,40%, number of spikelets 12,00-17,50 piece, spike length 6,93-10,10 cm, number of grains pers pike 42,60-55,43 piece, yield 397,13-561,20 kg/da, hectoliter weight 74,37-77,70 kg/hl, starch ratio %68,90-69,50, sedimentation value 36,00-41,67 ml, wet gluten %23,23-24,70 of Hüseyinbey bread wheat cultivar were varied. Considering the data obtained, it was determined that 25 kg/da nitrogen application in wheat grown after sugar beet significantly affected the yield and quality factors of wheat.
