Abstract (EN)
With this project, the effects of simple science (Home Lab. Hands on Science) activities on success level concerned about physical and chemical changes were researched. Learning with simple activities was compared with traditional learning methods and according to the results of the research the differences about the success level of both groups were stated. When the success point of experimental groups that trained using simple science activities are compared with initial and final assesmennts, there is a score increase as 30.00 points in knowledge test results. In the experimental group, according to the questions concerned about everyday life, there is 19,90 point increase. Attitudes of experimental group towards the science learning increased in 14.55 per cent after the activity based learning education. Evaluations about the controll group show that there isn?t any meaningful increase in the success. The results of this research show that learning with simple science activities is superior than traditional learning aiming at learning with only reading, listening and writing. These results are crucial for the students who have difficulties in learning science and for the schools which have got inadequate laboratory facilities. This research is also important for activity based learning applications, the samples of interesting simple science activities and separation of activities as groups.
