Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the fancy depiction motifs on the works made during the Seljuk period were examined in detail. In addition to the motifs depicted, the Turkish calendar with 12 animals was included in the examined works. Qualitative screening method was used as research method. Local and foreign qualitative sources have been researched and related examples have been transferred. In the Seljuk art, which is the main subject of the study, horoscope-planetary motifs were investigated in terms of plastic values and examined in detail within the framework of the place they acquired in the natural flow of art history. The visual data of the works made in the periods starting from the antique period to the 14th century were evaluated. Each of these has been examined under the main headings and their subheadings. In the first part of the study, the aim, importance, scope and method of the research are explained. In the second part of the study, qualitative references about depiction motifs of Seljuk period works are given.
