Abstract (EN)

The Crusades Campaign that targeting the Near East geography appear as the cause of long-term struggles. Although these crusades seem to have emerged from the goal of the Catholic church to be the dominant element, when looked behind the scenes, it will be seen that various political, religious and social factors played a role in Europe. Even though it gained ground as a product of a simple call for help by Byzantium, these crusades would bring the people who asked for help the most to the point of regretting it. The organization of the Crusades at the most appropriate time seems to have coincided with a period in which the Turks, who would clash with the crusaders in the east, were caught unprepared and lacked unity.Of course, this is not a coincidence. Between the First and Second Crusades, the operations that the Turks will lead and continue, of the ruling governors in Mosul, which is considered the center of al-Jazeera, play an important role, against the crusaders who want to settle in the near east and ensure their permanence in these struggles. First, the defense of al-Jazeera was to be done and the expansionism of the crusaders was prevented, and then the crusaders were attacked. The aggressive policies of the crusaders were broken after these struggle and the crusaders were force to a defensive position. The process of the conflict that surroundings the cities of Syria, Anatolia and al-Jazeera was shaped by the Mosul from the operations carried out against the crusaders. Despite the alliances, which seemed to be impossible and conflicts of interest, but commanders such as Kürboğa, Çökürmüş and Çavlı whos missed opportunities, the struggle was in the grown-up phase. The fluctuating course of the political balances made it necessary to meticulously continue the resistance of Governor of the Mosul against the Crusaders. There were too many elements in the region and this would be turned into an advantage. Therefore the struggle would result in the favor of the Turks, as a result of the successive policies of commanders such as Mevdud, Aksungur al-Porsukî and Imadeddin Zengi. Al-Jazeera was defended through Mosul, which was used as the headquarters by Kürboğa, Çökürmüş, Çavlı, Mevdud, Aksungur el-Porsukî and İmâdeddîn Zengi, and the war was carried out in narrower and distant areas against the crusaders. Through the liberation of Aleppo from the threat of the crusaders and the conquest of Urfa, has been passed to a new stage in the fight against the crusaders, and they became the preparers of the policies of the Muslim Turkish judges who would come after them against the crusaders. The policies required for the total defense and liberation of this geography, which was invaded by the Crusaders, began to be formed in this period (1098-1146).
