Shams: First year of the Second Constitutional Era from the perspective of a Persian language newspaper published in Istanbul (1908-1909)

Shams, a Persian language newspaper that was started to publishing weekly in Istanbul in the early months of the Second Constitutional Era 4th of September 1908. It's publishing was continued irregularly under the administration of Sayyid Hasan Tabrizī aproximately until the beginning of the World War I and it was published as 153 numbers. News and columns of the liberitarian Iranians in Istanbul that especially were like Anjuman-e Saādat-e Iranīan -it was supported by the Ittihat ve Terakkī Cemiyeti-, Committee-e Nisvān-e Iranīan and Ambassador of Iran in Istanbul were reported in the newspaper. Also, political, social and cultural news about Istanbul, like be bringing back of Mahmut Pasha's mortal remains to Istanbul, the 31 march incident, Iranian minority in Istanbul and theatre plays etc. events that were arranged in Istanbul were reported in the newspaper. However, news about Iran and near and far geographies were reported in the newspaper. Moreover, the newspaper was published in the Ottoman provinces, Iran, Europe and Russia. In our thesis, examined in detail 48 numbers of the newspaper that were published between 1908-1909 by way of translation-evaluation-preparing a index and with that it was aimed to particularly enlighten on political life of Istanbul in the Second Constitutional Era's First Year from a diffrent viewpoint.
