Abstract (EN)

1946 General Elections multiparty era where life was a tangible sense won in Turkey. Taking 395 of the 456 deputies, the CHP protected its power. İsmet İnönü was elected President again in the presidential elections held after this election. Recep Peker, who was assigned to establish a new cabin by İnönü, resigned a year later. Instead of Peker, Hasan Saka was given the task of forming the government. On the ending of Hasan Saka's ruling power between 1947 and 1949, The task of forming the government was given to Şemseddin Günaltay. Between 15 January 1949-22 May 1950, Günaltay wanted to fill this meaning by giving importance to education policy. Giving religious lessons to elementary schools is an important development of the period when the Imam Hatip schools and the Faculty of Theology of Ankara University opened. In addition, the economy in the 1949 Budget has been another policy that sets the era of the election amendment, a novelty in the way to the 1950 Elections. The general policy of this transition period was based on election investments. May 14, 1950 General elections and the 27-year-old CHP ruling ended. With these elections that the Democratic Party government will start, Günaltay continued active politics within the CHP. From 1941 until his death in 1961, Günaltay, who was in charge of the Presidency of the Turkish Historical Society and received a large number of works, has been undergoing developments affecting his own period as well as the next period.
