Vocabulary and Index of Şemsî Ahmed Pasha's Şeh-nâme-i Sultân Murâd (1209-2416. couplets)

Şeh-nâme-i Sultan Murad is a verse history written by Şemsî Ahmed Pasha, a statesman who witnessed many historical events of his period, and has brought a lot of information about the periods mentioned in its content to the present day. Şeh-nâme-i Sultan Murad is an important work in terms of vocabulary. In this study, the 1209-2416 couplets of the work were examined and its grammatical index was revealed and its vocabulary was examined. The study consists of four parts. In the First Chapter, an introduction to the study is made, and then information about Şeh-nâme-i Sultan Murad and the author of the work, Şemsî Ahmed Pasha, is given. In the Second Chapter, information about the vocabulary is given and the vocabulary of the work is examined. Vocabulary is examined by classifying it under 13 main headings as Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Pronouns, Adverbs, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Interjections, Reduplications, Idioms, Proverbs, Relationship Words (Phrases) and Arabic and Persian Structured Phrases. In this review, a total of "3211" words were identified. The Third Chapter contains the index. The index is presented in two parts, the Grammatical Index and the Proper Names Index. The Proper Names Index is also classified as Personal Names Index, Place Names Index, Dynasty, Nation and Community Names Index, Religious Names Index, and Work Titles Index. There is a total of "3377" item heads in the directories. In the Fourth Chapter, there is the Conclusion, in which the data obtained from this study is evaluated, and the Bibliography, which contains the sources used in the preparation of the study.
