Özet (EN)

Although while determining fracture toughness values of materials experimental methods are important, the reasons like the difficulty of forming a commecement crack while preparing experiment samples of the materials which has a high hardness like ceramic materials, the difficulty of boozing the load used in three point bending experiment with the expansion of crack center and the validity the experiment results have led scientists to improve more active methods. In this study, fracture toughness values of two different kinds of ceramic composite materials including boron carbide and magnesium oxide particles have been designated in a computer environment using the three dimensional finite elements method. While determining fracture toughness values Lineer Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM) approach has been used. The results being taken from analysis using ANSYS programme have been compared with the experimental results and reliability of finite elements has been understood clearly.
