Özet (EN)
This research was conducted from licensed athletes in the Turkish Orienteering Federation for the purpose of "examining the level of determination and socialization in social relations within the scope of free time activities" for licensed athletes participating in Orienteering competitions held during the 2015-2016 season. In this study, the General Survey Model is used for quantitative research methods, which is a type of research that can be observed, measured and numerically expressed by objectifying phenomena and events. The universe of the research consists of a total of 329 participants, 121 female and 208 male. The ''Sport and Socialization Scale'' developed by Şahan (2007) developed by Haraburda (1996:16-102), the "Multisite Decision Scale" adapted to Turkish by Sarı (2010:101-114) was used for the research group. Findings related to demographic characteristics were analyzed according to the types of participation in sex, leisure time activities, the role that has the greatest effect on the start of leisure time activity, the frequency of participation in leisure time activities and the interest in leisure time activities. Skewness and Curtosis values were examined in the normality test of the data. One-way ANOVA test was used by the athletes to determine whether the "Sports and Socialization Scale" and "Multi-Field Stability Scale" parenthood differed according to the learning status and the place of residence; One way MANOVA test was conducted to determine whether the scores of "Sports and Socialization Scale" and "Multi-Field Stability Scale" differ according to the place of residence Tukey test was used as Post Hoc test to determine the source of the difference. Pearson Collage analysis was used to determine the relationships between Sports and Socialization Scale and Multi-Field Stability Scale sub-dimensions. The level of significance was also accepted as p <0.05. In addition, the Independent T test was used to find out the difference between the scores of "Sport and Socialization Scale" and "Multi-Domain Stability Scale" between male and female groups. The margin of error in the study was accepted as 0.05 As a result, it seems that individuals' own preferences and their participation play an important role in the contribution of leisure time activities in the sports camps, socialization of the individuals and integration of leisure time activities on the social scene. In the sections outside the faculties of sports sciences of universities, it has been proved that the orientation towards the orienteering sport, which can be evaluated as a leisure activity in the society, will be useful for socialization. Considering the influence of leisure time effects on the socialization process, it should be ensured that the sports festivals realized by the universities spread throughout the education and training periods
