Abstract (EN)
Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is less seen than oclussive diseases of the cranium. There is not enough epidomiologic studies about it, therefore we dont have enough objective knowledge about it. CVT was known as mortal and rare disease initially, but today we know that it is seen more than aspected with wide clinical entities such simple disease to mortal one. İmaging tecniques of CVT are; convansionel cerebral anjiography, computed tomography(CT), digital substracted anjiography, megnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance venography. The aim of the study was to evaluate the CVT findings with multidetector computed tomography venography ( MDCTV) in the referred patients with CVT or other cranial pathologic differantial diagnosis. The study contained 14 female and 9 male patients ( totally 23 patients).Venous sinus morphologic abnormalities showed in MDCTV were; thrombosis, recanalization, parenchimal abnormalities, perfusion changings, deep venous thrombosis, and isolated cortical venous thrombosis. Venous sinus thrombosis were seen in 50 sinuses in 23 patients. 17 patient (%73.9) were had sinus thrombosis more than one sinus. Sigmoid sinus was the most affected cranial sinus with %32. jugulşar venous thrombosis were diagnosed in 5 patients. Parenchimal abnormalities were seen in10 patients( %43.4) with venous sinus thrombosis. As conclusion, MDCTV provides detailed imaging with high quality in the intracranial venous circulation. Because of this we advised to use MDCTV in the patients with aspected dural sinus thrombosis, nededing of emergency treatment.Key Words: Multidetector Computed Tomography Venography , Sinus Venous Thrombosis.
