The sharif hussein revolt and its impact on nation-building processes of Turks and Arabs

Works done on Arab zones of Ottoman Empire are very limited. This work is the product of increasing interests on Arab zones of Ottoman Empire, and it is an attempt to cover the gap in this area. One of the questions that this work tries to answer is how the centralization policy which implemented by Ottoman Empire is effected the Arab Vilayets, and what the effects of this policy on the revolt. Another question that this work will try to answer is to reveal the relations between Arab nationalism and the Sharif Hussein Revolt. Thirdly, this work aims to answer what the effect of English contribution on success of the revolt. I have preferred to answer these questions by using the books which has been written by the contribution of English archive documents. And secondly, I have used the memories of the intellectuals and officials which have affected cruising of events or the opportunities that I have pressurized me to behave such. This work have revealed that the centralization policies adopted by Ottoman government have risen the demands for decentralization and there is no relation between Arab nationalism and Sharif Hussein revolt.
