Abstract (EN)

Cervical cancer is the third most prevelant of all gynecological malignancies seen in the world and our country. According to the SEER data 2005-2011 5-year survival was 67.8 % respectively (1). 119 stage 1B2 cervical carcinoma treated between Februrary 2007- January 2015 in Başkent University School of Medicine,Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology evaluated in this study. Type 3 ( Querleu-Marrow Tip C2) hysterectomy and level 3 lymph node dissection is performed for all cases. Mean age was 56 (32-85) , follow-up was 35 (1-100) months. Factors affecting overall and disease -free survival and overall and disease-free survival compared to the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with stage 1B2 was investigated in this study . Mean overall survival was 74.6 months , disease-free survival was 63,8 months. 5 year OS 67,6 % & DFS was 57,2 %. 38 patients had recurrence at follow-up period. Deaths occurred in 32 patients. 5-year overall and disease-free survival in patients with neoadjuvant therapy was found respectively and 51.7 % ( 56.3 months) and 48.2 % (49.2 months). For patients who didn't received neoadjuvant therapy 5-year overall and disease-free survival was found 73.5 % (79.2 months) , 61.4 % ( 67.7 months) , respectively. Those who receive neoadjuvant therapy with the difference between statistically more significantly in overall survival rates (p = 0.036 ) , disease free survival rates were similar (p = 0.170 ) . The overall survival rates between those who receieved neoadjuvant treatment and those who dıd not were statıstıcally sıgnıfıcant. Disease free survival rates were comparable. The overall survival wıth those who dıd not receive neoadjuvant therapy were consıderably higher than those who received neoadjuvant therapy
