Determination of the form development project performance in nursing service administrative services

Top managers of nursing services, can manage nursing services via the monitoring of the nursing services offered in the wards that they are able to carry out, those that they can control and make a measurable evaluation. This research was planned with the objectives of proposing a form to the top managers of nursing services in a hospital that would enable them make the necessary improvements of the performance of the nursing services offered in the wards in an administrative way by observation, evaluation and making comparisons between the wards.The research tool expressed as the reconciling tool, in the situation of a problem, by analyzing the opinions of the experts, a common conclusion was reached based on the Delphi method. The group of experts whose views and suggestions were considered in Delphi rounds, was formed of academicians with academic expertise in nursing management subjects, and accredited by JCI and were also top executive managers in nursing management with experiences of three and over years in these hospitals. Opinions and views of 8 experts were sorted out in the first two Delphi kinds, and seven experts in the last Delphi round . At the end of three Delphi rounds, a form which can be used during the ward visits of the managers of the nursing services was created. By determining the rates of the scope of validity of each article, they were individually analyzed at the end of the Delphi rounds, the levels of significance were evaluated.As a result of the literature scanning in the research, the first form consisting of 120 opinions of experts was created so as to get expert opinions. The first form consists of four parts. There were 62 expressions in the criteria section directed towards direct patient care, 15 expressions in the criteria section directed towards indirect patient care, 13 expressions in the criteria section directed towards the services, and 30 expressions in the criteria section directed towards the nurses in charge of the wards. As a result of the first Delphi round, based on expert opinion and recommendations of expressions, modifications or removal of the expressions were made. At the end of the first Delphi round 40 expressions were removed creating the second form with 80 expressions. In these 80 expressions, there were 43 expressions in the criteria section directed towards direct patient care, 8 expressions in the criteria section directed towards indirect patient care, 7 expressions in the criteria section directed towards the services, and 22 expressions in the criteria section directed towards the nurses in charge of the wards. The second Delphi round was made with 80 expressions. At the end of this round, in the form consisting of 80 expressions, 17 expressions were modified or removed. In addition, taking into consideration the proposed suggestions, 2 expressions were added to the last form consisting of 63 expressions. At the end of the last Delphi round, no changes were made in the numbers of the expressions; amendments of 5 expressions were made creating the finalized of the form.In the scope of the findings obtained, by taking into account the structural precursors during the nursing services managers? visits to the wards, a model which could be used was formed. The advices on the usage of the form were presented.
