Thesis) Gül YIKILMAZ GAZl UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY September 1997 ABSTRACT This research has been performed to examine the diseases in voice production organs and their effects on vocal training, ef fects on vocal training and to shed light some studies that will be held. For this reason, literature review has been done, the stu dents at Abant izzet Baysal University, Faculty of Education, Mu sic Department have been observed, and it has been tried to state the present situation with co-operation of students. Ac cording to the questionnaire which has been applied to the stu dents, it has been stated that the students do not have enough knowledge about the diseases in the voice production organs and protecting from them and for this reason they often catch those diseases and they have difficulties in reaching the targets which are necessary in vocal? training courses, some proposals have been put forward to reach the aimed targets in vocal train ing courses.
