Özet (EN)
Slope Stability is one of the most important problems encountered in the areas of earthquake engineering and it can be considered as the riskiest situation for most structures. Loss of stability of the slopes and excessive movement cause fatalities and result in big damages. There are many ways to eliminate and/or reduce these risks. In this study, a highway to be constructed on an area with some ground slope was modelled under risky loads. The displacements caused by the static and dynamic loads in the area were estimated. The road affected by the cyclic loads caused by the vehicles and the earthquakes in the region were analyzed. Plaxis program was used for the analyses. The results were compared with the values calculated by the formulas found in literature. Measures were taken against large-scale displacements and disaster risk due to earthquake loads. Methods to reduce the displacement of the slope were applied.
