Abstract (EN)

Hz. Muhammed (s.a.v) was the first practitioner of the message that he received from Allah, and thus he taught his companions as their role model, and made Islam to spread to large communities. Companions who want to understand Qur'an in the best way and apply it to guide to their lives had been thought by the Prophet and played an active role in passing Islam to next generations. One of the important figures of the early Islamic generations was Sevban bin Bucdud. He became Muslim in the early periods of Islam, be around the Prophet (s.a.s) all the time, learnt from him and narrated one hundred twenty-eight hadiths from him (s.a.s). This study that we made about Sevban bin Bucdud consists an introduction and two parts. In first part, we discussed Ibn Bucdud's life and his place in the discipline of hadith. In the second chapter which is also last, we tried to classify and analyze Sevban bin Bucdud's hadiths in Kutub-u Sitte. Keywords: Sevban bin Bucdud, Companion, Hadith, Tradition.
