Abstract (EN)

Secondary Schools Exam (OKS), that was only held at the 8th grade of primary schools in former years, has gradually left its place to SBS. As of 2007-2008 Education year, SBS has started to be held at 6th, 7th and 8th grades annually. This research has been done considering the fact that, holding SBS in three consecutive years instead of OKS, which already exposed to many criticisms even in the years when it was only held at the 8th grade, may have negative influences on humanitarian elements such as students, teachers, parents and society who are included in the Turkish Education system. Including five primary schools, two of which are private, this research has been based on the sample views received from the parents, teachers and 6th,7th and 8th grade students who took 2009 SBS test. The views have been received via student, parent and teacher surveys, developed by the researcher, after checking their validity and reliability. This data has been conveyed into SPSS program and it has been analyzed via ?T? Test and One Way Anova Test whether there is diversity of views among the variants. The reasons of the diversity have been determined through the Tukey?s Multiple Comparison Test.According to the findings, it has been determined that SBS tests have negative influences on students, teachers and parents. In this context, SBS doesn?t only influence the students psychologically, but also it restricts their social life. The teachers are categorized according to their branches and they are psychologically affected in a negative way. Besides affecting the parents? psychology negatively, SBS makes the parents arrange thier domesticity according to the exam. It develops a kind of exam culture which creates a fear for future in society. According to the results, this research has offered suggestions to researchers, families, students, teachers, Turkish society and authorities who determine education policies.
