The Divan of Şevki İbrahim Efendi(review - transcription text)

Hodja Sevki (brahim lived in XIX.th centruy. He was born in Bolu; but spent most of his life in around Kastamonu. He is a member of Halveti tariqat and Sheik Saban-ı Veli?s 16th caliph. There is not plenty of information about his life. Hadja Sevki (brahim was assigned to sheik position for Halveti dervish convert for years. He has also his disciples educated by himself. The unique master price of the artist is his Divan, which is unprinted until today. There are 230 poems in the Divan. The poems should be evaluated in religious-sufistic Turkish Literature. Because Hodja Sevki (brahim wrote his poems in order to state sufistic philosophy of life, specifications of Halveti tariqat and importance of sufistic philosophy in human life. The artist who is faithful to Divan Literature in respect of formation also used versification forms of Folk Literature in places. In our study, there are study of Divan in respect of formation and topic and also transcription of the poems. Furthermore it has been tried to be evaluated the specifications of Haveti tariqat and sufistic philosopy elements in the Divan.
