Abstract (EN)

In this study, Seyhan Dam Lake, which is located in Adana and was built with to generate electricity, irrigation and protect from flooding. Seyhan Dam Lake of zooplankton were examined qualitatively and determined vertical migration of zooplankton were investigated for 24 hours. All data were collected in specific depth (0, 1, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20 m) for four hours period. In this study, in total of 26 organisms were identified which is 20 of them rotifera, 4 of them cladocera and 2 of them copepoda. From Rotifera all other species of rotifers except Keratella cochlearis not distributed all depths, also they did not migrated vertically. From Cladocera Diaphanasoma birgei at all depths in which homogeneous distribution, at 18.00 also have been determined to have reached the maximum number of individual on surface water and also migrated dawn daytime and up night. From Clodocera Mesocyclops leuckarti increase in the number of parallel individual depth reductions were determined. Other species of copepods are relatively small number on surface, it was determined that increased depending on the depth. Besides, some water quality parameters (conductivity, dissolved oxygen, temperature) were analised and all parameters were found in normal range.
