Özet (EN)

This study examines how the migration map of Seyhan, the central district of Adana province, has changed over time, and how the processes of integration and cohesion have evolved among residents of the district's 96 neighborhoods, based on a comparison between internal migrants and international migrants. In order to better understand the current migration dynamics in Seyhan, the primary factors behind both internal and international migration were investigated. Qualitative data were collected and analyzed through interviews conducted within the scope of the study. The main objective of the research is to reveal the migration dynamics of Seyhan district, to explore how residents reshape their living spaces under the influence of migration, to understand the reasons behind both forced migration and the preference for settling in Seyhan, and to analyze how the socio-economic conditions of migrants influence urbanization patterns across the district's 96 neighborhoods. To achieve these goals, interviews were conducted with neighborhood headmen, community leaders, representatives of official institutions and NGOs, as well as with migrant groups living in the district. Additionally, data from institutions such as TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute), the Seyhan District Governorate, and the Adana Provincial Directorate of Migration Management were utilized.
