Analysis of Seyitömer Mound in terms of economic archaeology

Abstract (EN)

This study ,which is entitled ?Analysis of Seyitömer Mound in Terms of Economic Archaeology?, is generated with determining economic archaeological finds obtained at the end of Seyitömer Mound 2009 excavations. From finds point of view, Bounden analysis are addressed and recommendations are presented to guide new studies to have knowledge about societies lived in Seyitömer Mound in the past.Relationship between economics and archaeology is mentioned in first part of study to analyse in terms of economic archaeological of Seyitömer Mound. Concept of economic archaeology is defined, economic archaeology and its conceptual foundations is included in theoretical framework. Geographic location of Seyitömer Mound, detailed results of first excavation until 2009 excavation and general information about mound are given in the second part of study. As a result of literature research in final section of study, physical, biological and chemical tests including high costs to be done are understood to work zooarchaeology, paleoetnobotany and bioarchaeology fields which are sub-disciplines of economic archaeology. Therefore, within the scope of data and reports shared by excavation team, zooarchaeological, bioarcheological and paleoetnobotanic findings are identified and specified in the constraint of 2009 excavation report. In consequence of research in the light of obtained determinations, a set of data, cue and general conclusions based on implications are reached about societies lived in relevant period. Besides, guiding recommendations to economic archaeological studies based on quantitative analysis that can be made in future periods are brought.Keywords: Seyitömer Mound, Economic Archaeology, Zooarcheology, Paleoetnobotany, Bioarcheology
