Abstract (EN)

The science of kalam, which is based on and defends the belief principles of the religion of Islam, rejected causality in the creation and functioning of the world, and revealed Allah's creation as the real reason for existence and actions, thus developing the first universe model. Between the II/VIII. and III/IX centuries, atomic theory was developed and the idea of a standard universe began to emerge and was actively pursued. Another discipline that tries to make sense of the world and creates a model of the universe is Islamic philosophers. The ore-land theory, which was accepted by the theologians, has become an accepted physics system in the historical process, albeit with different understandings. In this study, Seyyid Şerif Cürcânî (d. 816/1413), who is one of the most important names of the commentary and annotation tradition that started with Adudüddin al-Îcî, and the theologians and philosophers, who intensely dealt with the universe in his most voluminous work, Şerhu'l-Mevâkıf. It aims to try to understand the metaphysical mental structure of Jürcânî by identifying his approaches to his theories. In the study, firstly, after making conceptual analyzes of the subject in the eyes of Ash'ari, Mâturîdî, Mu'tezilî theologians and Aristotle, among the Islamic philosophers Kindî, Fârâbi, İbn Sînâ, Gazzâli, İhvân-ı Safa and Averroes philosophers, the issue is within the framework of the differences of opinion and arguments against it. It is discussed.
