An analysis of the works of Seza Kutlar Aksoy within the context of values education and richness of language

The purpose of this study is to analyze the works of Seza Kutlar Aksoy in terms of values education and language richness. In this context, Seze Kutlar Aksoy's 20 books have been examined using document analysis model from qualitative research techniques according to universal values determined by MEB. In determining language richness of the works; proverbs, idioms and phrases in TDK dictionary; books, articles and theses related to the topic were used. When collecting data, they are classified after the information has been recorded by the tagging technique. The universe of the research includes the life and works of Seza Kutlar Aksoy, who is the author of a children's literature, and the sample is composed of all the works of Seza Kutlar Aksoy. It has been found out in the 20 works examined in the study that the author included universal values more in his works. In addition, Seza Kutlar Aksoy has addressed contemporary problems such as women's rights, the place and duty of women in society, historical disappearances, air pollution, hormone-free foods, obesity, and the negativity of technology. When the works are analyzed in terms of language richness, it has been determined that routines are used the most, then idioms, and proverbs are used the least. Seza Kutlar Aksoy has created a series of values in his works to raise individuals who give importance to "scientific values, are innovative, stable, inquisitive, ask questions, think independently, creative, rational, love people and nature, determined.
