The revival thought and religion in Sezai Karakoç's opinion

Sezai Karakoç is a philosopher who puts forward the "Revival Thought" as a solution proposal by approaching with the Islamic point of view to the social change, disintegration and crises in the Islamic world. He believed that all Islamic nations need to unite and gain the power in also political area with a continuous emphasis on unity and solidarity. Sezai Karakoç who purpose to create the ideal society and ideal state and by taking Islam at the center of his thought insistently defended the "Islamic Union Thesis". This study which purpose to present a sociological analysis by handling nature and function of religion phenomenon which is in 'Revival' thoughts of Sezai Karakoç, has two parts. In the first part, it was formed a general frame about Sezai Karakoç's intellectual life. At the same time, explanations were made about years that his religion phenomenon was shaped. In this part, also all details of Sezai Karakoç's revival thought was explained with parts that composed of it. In the second part, relationship between Sezai Karakoç's Revival thought and religion was examined. Firstly it was dwelled on social factors that come up Revival systematic.
