Abstract (EN)
Our traditions and customs operate widely in all areas of our lives. It is the primary task of our study to identify the elements of folklore in Sezai Karakoç's poetry book called Gün Doğmadan. The relationship between Karakoç's poetry and folklore is reflected in many lines. In the first part of the study, what folklore is and the historical process of folklore is mentioned. Sezai Karakoç's life and literary personality are included. In the transition period of life, which is the second part, the building blocks such as birth, marriage and death are examined in Karakoç's poems. In the third part, forming the folklore; folk medicine, folk architecture, folk cuisine, folk trade, folk art, folk music, folk color, folk botany, folk law elements have been identified in his poems. In the fourth chapter, feasts and ceremonies are examined. In the fifth chapter, the elements that make up the beliefs of the people were found. In the sixth chapter, which is the last chapter, the prophets and religious concepts were examined in the poems and the basic structure of our study was formed. Sezai Karakoç is a poet integrated with tradition. He carried living rituals into his poems by using unusual and combining them with ornate images. As a result of the examinations and evaluations, it has been determined that Karakoç wrote his poems within the framework of the idea of resurrection by feeding on folklore.
