Solution of a production assembly line problem with heuristic methods

In this study, a comparison was done between Heuristic methods and a mathematical model. The methods have been applied to production line of an operating company in the automotive sector was carried out. These methods have been proposed by the inventors to design the production line that gives the best business results by giving optimum results of the production line. According to the result of our thesis. we evaluated the outputs of Hoffmann, Helgeson-Birnie and Moodie Young heuristic methods and proposed a production design that gives the best results for the company we are working with. It's because of today's increasingly competitive market conditions, the result of the thesis is particularly important for companies with high volume and multiple product diversity to move one step ahead of their competitors.
