In this study, a total of 600 sampling was made from 200 cattle, 200 sheeps and 200 goats from 4 different ranch in Aydin Province region, then blood samples were brought to Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Department of Microbiology and investigated serologically and molecularly fort he presence of C. burnetii.According to ELISA method, the number of positive samples gathered from sera samples of cattle were 40 (20%), the number of positive samples gathered from sera samples of sheeps were 58 (29%) the number of positive samples gathered from sera samples of goats were detected as 42 (21%).According to IFA method, the number of positive samples gathered from sera samples of cattle were 44 (22%), the number of positive samples gathered from sera samples of sheeps were 58 (29%) the number of positive samples gathered from sera samples of goats were detected as 46 (23%).According to Polymerase Chain Reaction method, the number of PCR positive samples gathered from blood samples of cattle were 96 (48%), the number of positive samples gathered from blood samples of sheeps were 72 (36%) the number of positive samples gathered from blood samples of goats were detected as 46 (23%).According to the results obtained, Polymerase Chain Reaction is the most sensitive method for detecting C. burnetii from blood samples taken from animals which seems healthy.
