Abstract (EN)
Ancient City of Side has become the only and most important port city of Pamphylia Region until Attaleia's establishment. By having two harbors secured by wave breakers, the city has become a port city as well as an important commercial center. Such a situation undoubtedly makes communication and interaction between regions and cities inevitable. Each region or, more specifically, each city has its own belief system, and this is also often referred to as plastic art. These commercial relations between the regions have affected the belief system and the plastic arts which is one of the important art branches of the Antiquity. With this thesis, it is aimed to scientific evaluation of 48 marble gods and goddess statuettes which are preserved in Side Museum and constitute an important category of plastic works. The most important reason for the determination of this matter is that the statuettes in the Museum have not been studied holistically until this day. A catalog of the statuettes was created; each work is examined in detail as typology, iconography, stylistics and workmanship. As a result of these evaluations, important clues about the city's artistic activities and religious beliefs have been obtained.
