Abstract (EN)

In this study, essential oil, infusion and the extracts, prepared with different polarity solvents from herbal parts of endemic Sideritis germanicopolitana BORNM. subsp. viridis HAUSSKN. EX BORNM (Lamiaceae) collected from Türkmen Mountain forest road of the Eskişehir, were investigated phytochemically. The total phenolic content, antimicrobial and antioxidant effects of the extracts were determined. The antioxidant activity has been tested on DPPH• and ABTS•+ radical scavenging effect. Herbal parts of the plant were distilled with a Clevenger aparatus for three hours. The components of the essential oil and aromatic water volitelis were determined by GC and GC/MS system. Phytochemical analysis of polar extracts were determined with LC-MS/MS system. As a result of the data obtained, the extracts of our plant were evaluated in terms of phytochemicals and the components of the volatile compounts were analyzed. Among volatile compound components; Oxygenated sesquiterpenes (29,6%), monoterpene hydrocarbons (28,7%), sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (21,9%), T- Muurol (18,5%) and Sabinene (15,7) were detected in high amounts. Flavonoid and phenylethanoid glycosides were found in polar extracts. It was determined that the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the extracts were not as high as the standards.
