Abstract (EN)
In this study, silicon based exterior frontage paints were experimentallyinvestigated. First of all, information about paints and raw materials used tomake paint, exterior frontages and exterior frontage damages, coating systemsand silicon was given. The experimental part of the study, the most popular forpaint companies in Turkish construction sector was selected. Then theirs siliconbased exterior frontage paints were used as testing material. The sample paintswere tested according to TS 5808 and compared with each other. Test resultsshown that four paints tested are suitable according to TS 5808.Key Words : Paint, silicon based paint, coating, exterior frontage
