Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of turbulent circular turbulators placed in the inner tube of a coaxial heat exchanger on heat transfer and pressure loss were investigated experimentally. In the experimental study; distance between the turbulators, thickness, diameter and layouts are used as design parameters. Reynolds number was used between 19000-76800 in the experiments. The Taguchi Experimental Design method is used to perform the experimental work. The effects of turbulators on heat transfer and pressure loss and efficiency, entropy, dimensionless exergy and NTU values were also calculated by the obtained results. In addition to these analyzes, ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) was used to determine the percentage influences of design parameters on heat transfer and pressure drop. In addition, optimum design parameters with Taguchi method are obtained separately for both heat transfer rate and pressure loss. Finally, by using the Gray Relational Analysis method, multiple performance characteristics were determined taking into consideration both parameters of heat transfer and the effects on pressure loss. Experimental relations were developed using the obtained values.
