Abstract (EN)
In this study, silica fume which comes out from Antalya Etibank Electrometallurgy Managing as a waste material is evaluated and, certain proportion of silica fume is used in adobe mixture. The environmental pollution is prevented by using silica fume in these adobe. Mechanical and physical characteristics of these produced adobe are researched. Clayey soil which is taken from Corum Baglar location?s construction field and, is suitable for `TS 1901 : Drilling methods in civil engineering for disturbed and undisturbed sample taking? is used in these adobe production. The adobe are produced from mixture of adobe soil , hay and different mass proportion of silica fume (%0, %5,%10,%15,%20,%25). The unit volume-weight experiment, the water resistance experiment and, the pressure resistance experiment are made on these produced samples. Mechanical and physical characteristics of these adobe are researched for different proportion of silica fume and finally, it has observed that silica fume addition has a positive result on all the experiment done.
