Abstract (EN)
Telomeres are of specific character and are in the structure of heterochromatin. In eukaryotic, they are located in the end regions of linear chromosomes and do not encode genes. Telomeres, which are directly related to the aging and proliferative capacities of the cells, are also involved in maintaining the chromosome structure and ensuring the stability of the chromosome. Keeping the length of telomere suggests that it can play an effective role in avoiding diseases that can be seen with aging and avoiding cellular aging. Telomeres are slightly shortened in each cell division. Telomerase enzyme is responsible for the extension of telomere sequences. Immunglobulins can be thought of as the molecular structure of antibodies. They have a glycoprotein structure. Ruminants are born insensitive to the disease-causing factors that can be taken by respiratory and intestinal mucosa since they cannot receive immunoglobulin during pregnancy by placental route. When they are born, they also take IgG with the colostrum they take, and IgGs make the calf resistant to septicemia, while the IgGs that are not absorbed from the small intestines provide regional immunity. IgG can be detected in all body fluids, making up 75-80% of antibodies. IgG resist the disease-causing potential of some bacteria, viruses and fungi. They constitute almost 20% of the total plasma and serum protein ratios in adult animals. They are the basic structures that protect metabolism against viruses and bacteria. The aim of the study is to evaluate the levels of IgG and telomerase enzyme, which have an important place in the immune system with aging. The research material was composed of cattle in farms in Burdur province. In total, blood samples were collected from 46 bovine animals. The research material was carried out in various farms in Burdur province, 1-day-old simental breed 8 calves (4 females, 4 males), 6 months old 8 calves (4 females, 4 males), 1 year old 8 calves (4 females, 4 males), 4 years old 12 cattle (6 females, 6 males) and 6 years old 10 cattle (5 females, 5 males) made up 46 animals in total. After the blood samples taken from the animals were subjected to centrifugation, their serum was separated. Then, Telomerase enzyme levels and IgG levels were measured and compared using appropriate ELISA kits.
