Abstract (EN)

In this study, the dissolution kinetics of smithsonite ore in aqueous boron acid solution is invastigation in batch reactor by using the parameters such as temparature, acid concentration, particle size and it stirring in speed. It is determined that experimantel data comply with second plseudo model. It is found in the study that stirring speed is not effective on dissolution rate, but temperature is more effectiveThe activatıon energy of the process is determined to be 67 kj/mol. Forthermore, it is found that kinectic equation of the process is X(1-X)-1=2,6.109.e-67/RT. Zinc borate has occured as the product. The optimum condition of the zinc borat obtained are 60 °C temparature, 200 µm particle size, 700 rpm stirring speed, 0.9 M Boric acid concentration. The Product in the formula of xZnOyB2O3.zH2O is formed.
