Si̇nan Çeli̇k's life and his contributions of kaval instrument

Traditional music,one of the most important element of culturel texture ,also can be accepted as a reflection of our social life. Although ,human voice is an indispensible element in this sense , it has a quite place in folk instruments,constitution of our traditional music and development. Kaval in this sense is the most important instrument which is rare in our traditional music.The life of Sinan Çelik, who makes invaluable contributions to the organological performance and at the point of introduction of the kaval, and its contributions to our folk music, has also become very essential. Sinan Çelik almost made the touches to give life to the kaval instrument, which is in a position that can be called primitive, and made a contribution to the instrument an indispensable instrument of today's popular instrument groups. The study has a depictive nature, it is also intended to determine the situation. This Study is limited with the life of Sinan Çetin and the evidence of his contribution into work on instrument, kaval. During the study phase, there has been a literature scan aimed at this subject, one meeting with the consultant into the field and in the light of findings. There has been some comments trying to reach at a conclusions. Afterwards, the results which based on obtained various solution offers has been presented. If Some of the study conclusions are to be listed, Sinan Çelik's important contributions to the organological development of the instrument- kaval, leading the publicity of the instrument both domestically and globally, important add-ones and contributions on instrument's performing techniques and its pedagogic extent, reaching a mastery level at instrument's manufacturing, also playing of the instrument as a precious virtuoso are some of the first things that come to our mind.
