Abstract (EN)

Social structures build the consciousness of the individual according to time, culture, geography and political situation. The individual is exposed to the construction of his consciousness, explicitly or implicitly, by social structures outside himself in the society in which he was born and raised. The state carries out this construction process through ideological devices affiliated with it. According to Althusser, ideological devices include the family institution in which the individual is born, school, religion, media, unions and communication fields. In this context, in every society, the dominant power wants to dominate the ideological process built by social structures in order to ensure continuity of their power on a legitimate basis. Ideological construction includes the fields created by the individual's consciousness, as well as the construction of the individual's consciousness. Therefore, dominant powers also intervene in the fields revealed/created by science and art. Examined Emin Alper's films Tepenin Ardı (2012), Abluka (2015), Kız Kardeşler (2019), Kurak Günler (2022) within the framework of Althusser's theory of ideology, using content analysis method from an ideological perspective. Separate headings have been opened for the concepts of hegemony and truth in the theoretical framework section, with the intention of better understanding the framework of ideology that permeates the daily life of the individual through social structures. Therefore, while making ideological analysis of the films, the role of ideology in the hegemonic process and its relationship with truth were examined.
