Abstract (EN)

In this study, cultural disintegration that was a subject of ancient greek tragedy is analyzed through three contemporary cinema films. Reflection of ancient greek tragedy in cinema, proves that arcahaic mythos has a moving structure. Thus, application of mythologic figures is not a sign of cultural regression. Since creating the new is possible with the understanding of the roots. In the chaotic environment, that is being experienced as a result of cultural crisis, the contemporary artist creates counter discourses in order to find a common ground and establish balance. The aim of this study is to prove that through narratives that put emphasis on cultural disintegration, culture-led judgements through mythos are results of fantasy and suffering. In the name of finding recovery from cultural illusion, three fictional counter dicourse narratives in Yorgos Lanthimos' The Killing of A Sacred Deer, Pierre Paola Pasolini's Teorema and Reha Erdem's Kosmos, indicates the Dionysian plurialism core of tragedy.
