Poetic cinema within the context of cinematic sensation and understanding dichotomy: An analysis through the example of the film "farazi̇ler

In this study, the concept of sensation is examined through the film "Faraziler" produced within the scope of the thesis. The concept of sensation aims to describe the sensory awareness that individuals experience depending on their interaction with their surroundings. Experimental cinema methods were used to establish interaction between the audience and the characters, and to create mental and emotional impact. Experimental cinema techniques such as camera angles, fast editing, slow motion, and sound effects were employed to shape the audience's experience with the film. The experimental film "Faraziler" aims to create a unity between sensation and thought, leaving a profound perceptual impression. The second chapter of the thesis examines the concept of sensation. In the third chapter, Standish Lawder's film "Necrology" is analyzed through the concept of sensation.
