Reflections of Synaesthesia in art

Within the scope of this thesis, the necessary research, examinations and evaluations about what synesthesia is and is not, and ways to contribute to the transfer of opinions and knowledge about the use of synesthesia in the field of art are investigated. What are the effects of synesthesia on the artist and his work in the field of art, and the reflections of this effect will be examined with various examples. In line with the examinations, it is necessary to investigate how synesthesia directs artists to their works and the perspectives of artists on this issue. In addition to artistic and aesthetic works, finding new ones or new ways and methods in creative processes is to offer a broader perspective for synesthetic integrity. However, it will be very important to analyze the studies on the subject. Hearing, seeing and feeling colors in the synesthetic sense will contribute to understanding how artists affect their works. The areas where synesthesia covers art in certain periods and the forms of reflection will be examined within the scope of the thesis. It aims to find out how the artist reflects himself under the synesthetic effect, what are the effects on the work and to find answers. The issue of whether the synesthetic effect of artistic works, whether the artists' perspectives are acquired later or whether it manifests itself from birth is very important. The formation processes of synesthetic concepts, phenomena and objects in artistic and aesthetic reflections will be examined and evaluated in detail. In line with the research, examination and evaluations carried out, the artistic works of the artist, who is directly related to the subject of synesthetics, are included in the scope of this thesis together with their examples.
