Özet (EN)
Castanea sativa (Anatolian chestnut) is a naturally occurring species in Turkey. Due to its economic and anthropogenic importance, it is one of the most important leafy tree species in Turkey and the world. Chestnut cancer caused by the pathogen Cryphonectria parasitica is one of the diseases that cause the most serious damage to chestnut trees. This pathogen is a very serious disease that damages the trunk, branches and leaves of the tree, causing fruit loss and death of the tree in later years. In this study, the incidence of chestnut cancer in chestnut trees in the study area was determined by pathological conditions at 2 different altitudes and aspect ranges. methods were determined. This study revealed the density of chestnut canker on the trunk and branch, the height of the canker on the trunk and branch, and the effect of cancer on the height and chest diameter of the trees at 2 different elevations, 200-400 m and 400-600 m, and at 2 different views (north and south). took it out. According to the results of this study, chestnut cancer was observed quite intensely on the trunk of the chestnut tree in both elevation steps. However, when the signs of chestnut cancer on the branches are examined, it has been determined that there is more intense cancer in the branches at an altitude of 200-400 m, and the cancer density in the branches decreases as one goes up to 400-600 m. This study, unlike previous studies in the literature, determined the effect of chestnut cancer on both the pathological and anatomical features of the chestnut tree and provided a recommendation and a precautionary plan in future studies to understand the cellular effects of cancer will be important in establishing
