Environmental sensitivity analysis of 4th and 5th graduate students in Sinop province (Center)

The objective of this study is to find out how much primary 4th and secondary 5th grade students care about the environment. Another objective of the study is also to learn if there is a relation between the students' environmental behaviours and the class-room where they get educated and to evaluate the quality and productivity of the environmental education at school. The sampling of the study has 257 girls and 243 boys from 4th and 5 th grades, 500 students in total from Fatih Primary School, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Primary School, Cumhuriyet Primary School, Gelincik Secondary School, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Secondary School, İstiklal Secondary School in 2016-2017 Academic Year in Sinop. In the study, 5 s Likert scale, which is known "data collection technique" is used.This study is has Personel Information form with 20 items and 5 sub-criteria such as Environmental sensitiveness scale, Air Pollution Sensitiveness, Environmental care, Soil Pollution Sensitiveness, Water Polllution sensitiviness, Population Effect on the environment. Replies are evaluated from "strongly agree" in the 1st column to "strongly disagree" in the 5th column in the scale. As a result of the study, when we compare the findings and statistics in the Environmental Sensitiviveness scale, it is clear that students' behaviours have no significant difference in termsof sex, social class, parents' education, parents' occupation but similarities.
