Determination of environmental strategies and use of environmental funds in Sinop province

The concept of sustainability, defined as development that can meet today's needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs; Within the scope of the thesis, sustainability has been examined with development dimension. Located in the Black Sea in the thesis at the northern end of the coast of Turkey and livelihood to a great extent providing fisheries, tray 28.7% of the exports realized Fisheries from sector to Sinop Chamber of Commerce has investigated the registered companies. The level of knowledge of the sustainability / sustainable development concept of these company executives has been measured. The opinions of the companies on environmental education, biodiversity and natural life protection, ecosystem and environmental protection and agriculture / sustainable agriculture are discussed and explored in depth by interviewing the opinions about environmental funds and environmental legislation. Within the scope of the study, 60% of the firms surveyed were between 11 and 20 years in operation and their legal structures are Limited Company. 80% of the interviewees had a bachelor's degree and 20% had a master's degree. The experience of 80% was over 10 years. It had been determined that the companies had 55.55% as financing instruments and 44.44% as equity loans. While 60% of companies surveyed indicate that they can benefit from export incentives sufficiently; 40% had not benefited sufficiently, and as a matter of fact; 45.5% had intensive incentive procedures, and had documents, files, long periods of time. All companies surveyed in the scope of the study have knowledge about sustainability and they do not have problems about export legislation nor environmental legislation. This is a sign of the development level of the Aquaculture sector, the locomotive sector of Sinop province.
